Let me introduce myself. My name is William Ott. Dirt track racing is one of my many passions. I also enjoy model
aircraft, collecting, building and flying. Also I have a very nice model car collection that includes Nascar,World Of Outlaw
sprint cars and some classic musclecars, and not to forget dirt latemodels and modifieds. This site is always under construction
So I will be adding photos and other information as they become available. This racing site is to promote Street Stock Dirt
Track Racing. I will have pictures and links to websites by others like me. Racing is a major part of my
life. I've been interested in racing since I was 16. I spent many saturday nights at Sagus Speedway in southern
California with my good friends Dan Hellwig and Richard Wilson watching the stock car races wishing I could race one. This
was not to happen until later on in life! I took a 30 year break to start a career in avaition and start
a family. I have decided to get back into racing. My street stock is a '76 Malibu, Raced in memory of Charles
Ott. He was an early dirt track racer in the 1950's. His race number was 86. He used to race at I-30 speedway in Little
Rock Arkansas and various other tracks in the state. He was my beloved Uncle and I looked up to him. I miss him
very much. I am also using race number 86 in his memory. You can see me race on Saturday nights at Devil's
Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX.

In the News
NASCAR will allow some aerodynamic changes to the Chevrolet Monte Carlo body, I will bring an update on this as I get
more information. However I do know this was brought about to make the car more competitive with Dodge and Ford.
It has also been brought to my attention that Joe Gibbs racing will be switching from the Pontiac Grand Prix To Chevy
Monte Carlo for the 2003 season.
2003 Rules change for Devil`s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite Tx. All StreetStocks must run Goodyear,McCreary,or Hoosier pulloffs.
No street tires allowed. The tires must not exceed 14-1/4inches wide and be asphalt tires only. Tires may be purchased
at the track or Smiley`s Racing.
The pit board trivia
I am going to bring all you race fans ,drivers, race crews a trivia question or maybe some racing history each month.
Please feel free to E-mail me answers or maybe share some of your own interesting racing history. I will post the correct
answer.
This month`s question: Who was the 2005 winner at the 24 hours of Daytona?
Last week`s answer: Marty Robbins. Marty had a long racing career. He raced short track as well as some NASCAR races
in the 1970`s and 1980`s , He also was the star in the 1967 racing classic Hell on wheels. In this movie he raced his own stockcar
and did all his own driving. No Hollywood stuntmen or drivers!
This movie is available on DVD from RHINO home video. I recomend it.Go to my favorite drivers page to view photos
of marty`s stockcars. Till next time keep the shiney side up!
